Health Benefits of Transit Investment, March 9, 2015

On March 9, 2015, UBC offered a panel discussion which explored the critical link between transit and health. With upcoming referendum on transit investment, voters will benefit from this expert panel discussion on transit’s role in promoting a liveable built environment, increasing walking and biking, reducing sedentary time in cars, and improving air quality.

A new study was released from the UBC Health and Community Design Lab, showing multiple health benefits of transit investment. In addition, the My Health My Community’s report on transportation and health was also released.
