MHA Student Projects with the New Vista Student Society
MHA Alumni, Carole Finnie, CEO of The New Vista Society (the “Society”), presents four projects for MHA students.
The New Vista Society has been in operation since 1943 and owns and operates a 236 bed complex Care Home, 540 housing units and Cranberry Cottage, an Adult Day Program that provides services for 20 clients five days a week. The “Society”
services predominantly seniors either as a resident, tenant or client. They are currently planning on redeveloping the Care Home with Fraser Health.

Student Researcher required for the Neil Squire Society
The Neil Squire Society seeks a graduate student to perform research and analysis to understand the economic impact of disability for people with disabilities in Canada. The student will perform a financial and economic analysis to assess and present the impact of Neil Squire Society’s service delivery to their clients and provide an assessment of community and employment services delivery among peer, competitor and government organizations for people with disabilities across Canada. The role will also involve developing insight into the unmet needs in helping people with disabilities return to work, life and play following injury, illness or periods of isolation.
This is a full-time position from May to August 2015 and will be full-time (37.5 hours) in Burnaby, BC. A competitive salary will be offered for this project. Please contact Sherisse Sy, MHA Program Manager, to request a copy of the job description.
