  • Design and develop Canadian Workplace Exposures Database (CWED), combining data from various organizations across Canada, insuring data consistency and validity
  • Perform descriptive statistics using statistical packages to generate reports and calculate exposure estimates
  • Facilitate user access to the database, ensuring security of the data

Loretta has a wide and unique background, having previously received an M.Sc. in Human Nutrition, a B.Sc. in Computing Science and a Diploma in GIS. She has worked as a GIS Analyst and spatial database developer in health and municipal settings, as well as being a software designer at a large telecommunications company.

She is currently enrolled in the Professional Specialization Certificate in Population Health Data Analysis (PHDA) program, and hopes to combine her varied skills and experiences in order to develop processes and tools to aid in the storage and analysis of large health data sets.

She grew up in Enderby BC and has lived in many places, including Vancouver BC, Claremont CA, Winnipeg MB, Ahousaht BC, Quadra Island BC, Edmonton AB, Ottawa ON, Squamish BC, Toronto ON and has now settled in the Lower Mainland of BC. She enjoys researching her family tree and riding her recumbent bicycle!
