Cathy Chabot

Cathy is the Research Manager for the Youth Sexual Health Team and Dr. Jean Shoveller’s CIHR-funded Applied Public Health Chair in Improving Youth Sexual Health. She also coordinates the “Factors Affecting Implementation & Scalability of Online Sexual Health Services Study” and the “Young Parents Study”.

Cathy has a Master of Arts in Anthropology, specializing in medical anthropology, from Simon Fraser University. She has worked extensively on a variety of qualitative research studies in the areas of mental health, homelessness, substance use, social inequity, and sexual health. She is especially interested in qualitative research addressing gender, health, and social inequities, as well as research ethics.
